How to create your own VPN server in 15 minutes? — Outline VPN

Here, we are going to create our own VPN server using outline. These are the simple steps to follow:

1. Download and install Outline Manager
2. Create account on Digital Ocean
3. Configure server in Outline Manager

Step 1

Download and install Outline Manager in your computer using this link (https://getoutline.org/get-started/#step-1)

Step 2

Go to Digital Ocean and create an account.

Step 3

Open the Outline Manager you installed in Step 1 on your computer.

Click SET UP under DigitalOcean. You will be asked to login to Digital Ocean and authorize outline manager.

Open Outline Manager >> DigitalOcean >> SET UP

After successfully connected to Digital Ocean, you will see the CREATE SERVER instead of SET UP.

Click DigitalOcean > CREATE SERVER

Choose your server location and click the button above (SET UP OUTLINE).

Chill and grab a snack while Outline Manager is automatically configuring your VPN server.

Configuring the server automatically

We are all done. How fast? Now we have successfully created our own VPN server and ready to use.

Click Add new key to create a key for your client device.

Then, click the share button beside the key and copy your access key.
P.S. key usually start with ss://

You may also set the data limit for these keys. (optional)

Create a new key

In order to use this VPN in your devices, open your application store(app store, google play store, etc) and search and install Outline App.

Open the Outline App and paste the key you copied from Outline Manager to add the server.
